With a newly designed stainless steel collet retainer, these fittings offer increased strength, durability, and a 400 PSI pressure rating. SharkBite Max fittings eliminate the need for a PEX tube liner and feature a re-engineered body that allows for easier and less forceful pipe insertion. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required. Once the pipe is inserted, stainless steel teeth securely grip it, while a specially designed O-ring ensures a leak-proof seal. The fitting can be rotated post-installation for quick adjustments, and removal is simple with a disconnect tool, enabling reuse of fittings and valves.
