Diamond Coated Fret End Dressing File (E-File)

Filing fret ends just got a whole lot easier and safer with MusicNomad's Diamond Coated "E-File" Fret End Dressing File. From top to bottom, no detail was overlooked in designing the perfect solution to fix fret sprout & sharp fret ends. Our exclusive design features medical grade stainless steel with a Diamond Coated cutting surface that allows for even, smooth and precise filing that cuts and polishes all fret material types simultaneously. To enhance functionality, we designed the file with two types of non-marring safe edges: flat and slightly radiused.

Fret Beveling File (B-File)

Filing fret ends with a consistent angle and finish has never been easier with MusicNomad’s B-File. With the ideal 23° and 3° file angles, no detail was overlooked in designing this revolutionary bevel file. The high-quality, durable Acacia wood ergonomic handle is shaped with a curved radius underside and is wide enough to lay centered across the entire fretboard, providing for unmatched stability when filing. The fully adjustable and replaceable high carbon-steel file includes a double cut side and single cut side, allowing for full customization to meet your needs. Our innovative design includes deeper channel recesses for the file, ensuring the file clears the body.

Fret Leveler Diamond U-File

Don't level all your frets when you have 1 or 2 high frets causing fret buzz. Our U-shaped channel design gives you clear and easy access to file exactly where you need, right below the string! The premium diamond coated 3 pc. set allows you to do spot leveling on Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin and Ukulele without taking the strings off. With the strings on or off lay the U-File across 3 frets with the high fret in the middle and file in any direction. The low profile ergonomic handles give you total comfort and control for precision work.

Being able to diagnose fret levelness is the first step in fret care for any fretted instrument. MusicNomad’s Fret Rocker+ is packed with unmatched features & benefits. The high quality stainless steel is the perfect thickness at .07” (1.8mm), that’s 4 times thicker than our String Action Gauge, ensuring accurate diagnosis on all fretted instruments. Our unique continuous 5-axis CNC manufacturing process produces flawless flat edges with an accuracy tolerance of +/-.0015”/ft. We’ve designed our fret rocker with 5 edges to create a more balanced, easy to use shape that includes 4 different side lengths to find the side that lays across 3 frets.

Fret Gauge

MusicNomad’s Precision Fret Gauge is a must-have tool that will help you do it quickly and accurately. The gauge comes equipped with 4 key measurements for areas to diagnose: fret level, fret seating, fret height, and fret size. It’s perfect for electric, acoustic, classical & bass guitars and features laser etched markings and instructions printed on the handle, and works in tandem with MusicNomad’s Fret Rocker+. Lay fret rocker across 3 frets and check for gap using #1 feeler gauge. If you identify a high fret, check the seating with gauge #2. Need to know if your frets are high enough to level? Use gauge #3.
