The Kidde Smoke Detector, Model P4010ACS-WF, is a hardwired smoke alarm with smart features, including voice alerts and photoelectric sensor technology to detect slow-smoldering fires. When smoke is detected, the unit emits an 85-decibel alarm and announces the type of hazard, such as "Fire" or "Replace alarm" when it’s time to replace the unit. The alarm connects directly to your home’s electrical system and includes a lithium battery backup to ensure continuous protection throughout its 10-year lifespan. The Kidde smoke detector offers real-time notifications via the Kidde app, allowing you to alert family members, friends, or even a pet sitter. The LED indicator ring shows the alarm’s status (green for normal, amber for errors, and red for smoke or fire hazards). The Test-Hush button helps silence false alarms or test the unit. It can also be interconnected with other Kidde alarms, ensuring all alarms sound simultaneously. For optimal safety, install a detector on each floor and inside and outside every bedroom.
