SharkBite Max push-to-connect fittings offer the quickest and most efficient way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, or HDPE pipe. With a newly designed stainless steel collet retainer, these fittings deliver extra strength and durability, along with a 400 PSI pressure rating. They eliminate the need for a PEX tube liner, and the re-engineered body makes pipe insertion easier and requires less force. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are needed. After insertion, stainless steel teeth grip the pipe while a specially formulated O-ring creates a watertight seal. The fitting can be rotated post-installation for quick adjustments, and removed just as quickly with a disconnect tool, allowing for easy changes or reuse of fittings and valves.
