The RectorSeal 4 oz. Pipe Thread Sealant is a versatile, slow-drying, and soft-setting sealant designed to lubricate and safeguard threaded connections across a variety of pipe materials, including galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, reinforced fiberglass, and PVC. It should not be used with ABS or CPVC pipes. Suitable for both hot and cold potable water applications, this sealant allows for immediate pressurization on pipes up to 2 inches and 100 psi. It is formulated to remain effective without drying out in the can, ensuring longevity and reliability. The sealant is lead-free and free from other metals, preserving the integrity of threaded connections and permitting easy disassembly without damaging the threads. It can be applied in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 140°F and accommodates pressures up to 12,000 psi for liquids and 2,600 psi for gases.
