The Oatey 8 oz. Black ABS Cement is a medium-bodied solvent cement designed specifically for bonding ABS pipe and fittings in non-pressure applications. It features a low-V.O.C. formulation that meets stringent environmental standards such as California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) 1168/316A or BAAQMD method 40 requirements. This cement offers excellent gap filling properties and is suitable for use across all schedules and classes of ABS pipe and fittings up to 6 inches in diameter with interference fit. It sets in approximately 30 minutes, making it ideal for installations where a relatively fast bond is required. The black color of the cement provides easy identification on ABS piping, ensuring accurate application. It adheres to ASTM D-2235 standards, guaranteeing reliability and performance in drain, waste, and vent piping systems.
