The ABS Black Solvent Cement by Oatey is designed specifically for bonding ABS pipe and fittings in non-pressure applications. This medium-bodied cement excels in filling gaps and ensuring a strong bond by softening the surfaces of both the pipe and fitting. It supports ABS non-pressure piping up to 6 inches in diameter, primarily used for drain, waste, and vent systems. The cement exceeds ASTM D-2235 standards and is conveniently packaged in a metal can with a dauber stem for easy and precise application. Its black color allows for clear identification of where it has been applied on the pipe surface. Additionally, all Oatey solvent cement and primer products are certified to UL Greenguard Gold standards, ensuring they meet stringent indoor air quality criteria.
