This CO detector operates on 3-AA alkaline batteries, located in the back of the device, and uses advanced electrochemical sensor technology to detect dangerous carbon monoxide levels, even during power outages. A green LED light blinks to show the alarm is operational, while a red LED blinks to signal carbon monoxide presence. After 10 years of use, the detector needs to be replaced. It is UL Certified, meeting the UL2034 standard.
