The smoke detector is powered by 120V AC wiring and includes a 10-year built-in lithium battery, eliminating the need for battery replacements throughout its lifespan (not a battery performance claim). Upon detecting smoke, the red LED light will flash in sync with the loud 85-decibel alarm to alert you. Additionally, the test-hush button lets you check battery operations and silence false alarms if necessary. The detector is self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket. This model meets the latest UL 217 standard, as well as FCC and CSFM requirements.
